The greatest illusion we have is the belief that god will come before us for simple prayers we do and also it is very easy to reach god. I know many teachers of the modern era who simply tell reaching god through effortleness is easy. Just see the contrast to become rich one has to work hard, to become successful in any field one needs to work hard. Take the case of film actress and directors who work very hard for hours together and days together to reach the field. Even after reaching huge success bill gates will need to work harder than others.
Basically reaching god is tough. If making money requires so much of hard work how about reaching god. It is highest goal of life. It is the greatest achievement which is considered as the most precious gift of life. How come reaching god will be very easy just like that. It will be tougher, because the whole universe, maya and shakthi will allow you to have any thing other than god.
In the scriptures if the rakahas and the great rishis have to do tapasaya for so many years then how come it will be easy for us.
Do not believe in any teacher who says reaching god is easy and doing sadhana is very simple.
Take the case of the great Buddha, the great chirst if they were tested in life till the last moment of their sadhana how about mortals like us. The world of illusion is nothing but distraction and temptation which will take us away from god.
My teacher used to say if you choose god then let go of the world. If you choose world then let go of the god. Sure enough he let go of every thing. People quote ramakrishnan he was highly matured before he got married itself. Then if it was easy he would asked all his disciples to get married.
Life is extremes we can not have best both of the worlds. God if it is hobby accept it. God must be passion then also enligtment is tough. buddha had to do sadhana for six years , the great milarepa for 16 years etc .
People quote the great bhagawan ramana with out understanding that what is true for a spiritual genius is never true for a mortal. Take the case of sachin or micheal schummaer how people can play cricket like sachin or drive car like schumaker. Similarly reaching god is tough and requires tremendous energy, focus, attention and hard work.

This is good quality give by god universally. Only when there is grace of god or guru or blessing of parents, one listens to wise counsel.
Listening has a time, place, people, mood, direction, number of times or repetition to make one some one understand.
My wife says in a nice manner that making other people listen to you require time effort energy and lot of analysis.” this is not possible for every one. Yet it require all the above three component.
Secondly check whether you are communicating from the point of ego or from point of love. If you try to tell the kids with ego like I am big, great, elder they will not listen. Tell them with feeling and love they will listen. So more the ego lesser the listening.
Check whether u have the same problems. People who have similar problems tend to advice others correctly but will not implement it. If you have same problem then learn to solve it instead of advising others.
Check whether you are distracted from real problems. Many a time people have severe problems. They will be good in advising others. This was one of the main blocks I had. I use to get involved with other’s problem when I had personal problems. Learn to let go.
Number of times of listening for a change to happen will vary from people to people. Bigger the problem greater then number of period or times of listening. For example trying to stop a child from having or eating chocolates will require lot of effort. Just once when some one understands by listening to you means it is luck or fluke or some kind of siddhi you have in speaking. That is why not all the people who listened to Buddha got enlightenment.
There is time, place, direction to make people are more receptive. Some people are more receptive in the morning, some more in the bed, some people listen well while driving, some in east or west. Check all these before you give advice.
In general good thing should be told in the right ear for men and left ear for women . For negative things left ear of men and right ear of men should be used.
Pray god before you advise some one, because only with gods grace they listen.
I have got invoked with many people who have had different kinds of problems. Slowly begin to see a pattern of how a person deals with the problems and the means by which they resolve it.
The moment one touches the karmic problem of others, people do not like it. For example one of my friend did not get along with his in laws. He did not talk with them for 15 years. The moment I brought in this subject he got upset with me. Some one whom I knew was having problems with his wife. The moment I brought in the issue there was confrontation.
Many people are not even aware that they have karmic problems. See the people who are not married, who have difficult career, who do not have issues or children. They will never accept that it is a big problem for them. They will not even give priority to it. Their karma does not allow them to see what their problem is.
Secondly what ever are their problems they will not implement solutions. First see the people who have debts problems. They will keep running from one astrologer to other with out implementing practical solution like cutting the cost or chanting the prayer.
The third pattern is they implement the solutions partially and they will have more faith in themselves than in professional advice they pay for. For example one of my friend who had huge debts. Instead of listening to astrological advice of not starting new business went ahead and started the business. He will neither go to temples nor chant which will help him in this situation.
Fourth pattern is they will pick up fight with the people who help them the most.
Many people fight with well wishers, people who tell the truth or who will make them face the reality. Often I have faced this situation.
When there is karmic problem, for people to realize that they have problem itself needs god’s grace, then implementing solutions then seeing results and it will take real gods grace.
One of friends wrote to me “do not tell me the truth and shatter me. I can not take it “. Very true. Students who do not study, men who are unfaithful, people who do wrong business- if you tell them truth and u will see the reactions which will range from disdain to non-listening. This is exactly the karmic reactions.
Many people have asked me as how to get connected to divine and sublimate the personality when one does tarot reading.
Normally when we start the reading our personality takes over. Our own habits ideas desires gender and fantasy takes over.
There are few easy ways to connect to divine. Of course how much power the connection brings through is a different question. Some people bring 50 watt, some 100 watt, some 5000 watt. This is just an analogy.
Following are the ways.
1. Put your tongue up the palate.
2. Meditate on the blue pearl 12 inches above the head.
3. Chant your prayer till the in breath become greater than the out birth.
4. Imagine lord Narayana comes through you and it sitting on your place.
5. Put your attention 2 inches below navel seat of lower intuition. Care should be taken other wise one can become over sexual.
6. Imagine a line connecting your ajna heart and navel chakra and ground below this is called as alignment of line.
7. Pray to the divine; invoke the great navagrahas, the great rishis who worked for astrology and also sensei kirtie.
8. Chant the navagraha slokam or 108 names. This will allow confusion to fade away.
9. Chant your prayers in synchronous with breathing till in breath becomes longer than the out breath.
These are multi dimensional way of doing. You can choose one method which suits you.
There are of course mantras to improve psychic ability but then any mantra would do, even gayatri. This will bring down karmic debris like pure water. It will clean the senses and mind which will help u guide many people.
I was in temple of kukke subrmanaya in the morning when an amazing insight flashed before me. I explained it to my wife which was truly wonderful.
I showed a rock and asked – does god exist? She said yes. I said you have answered it with faith can you do it with reason. She said why not you do it.
Take a rock. It is represents three things. The quality of god, the emotion of god and the power of God.
Rock has some power. It can be used to build buildings. It is a positive power and it can be used to hurt people by throwing stones at them. This is power of god. Every thing in this world animate or inanimate has some power which god has bestowed on it. The same principle is used in the ayurveda in dravya guna vigyan.
Love the rock. Show affection. One will start feel rock also emit love. This will require certain amount of practice and love. Give love for children see how they reflect back, give it for plants. People say that personal motor bike and car does strange things like stopping correctly in front of the oil station when the petrol is over, secondly it will give trouble when the pillion rider is negative about the owner. In the same way rock also has love. If god is love then this aspect of god gets emitted easily in many objects, people and places in the world.
Rock has certain quality like solidity, stability and durability which is a different aspect of earth element.
This shows the intelligent side of god.
Like this every object, person, place and objects reflects these three qualities of divine all the time.
Experience god is the experience of oneness. This oneness is experienced by normal people in a different manner.
For example touch gives sense of oneness. The mind becomes blank or the thoughts slow down that is why so much attraction for sex which is the biological door way to oneness.
The second is when some one talks in the same frequency with us, we feel mental oneness. This happens with student and teacher, music and musician, speaker and listener. If there is tandem of ideas or roles then they experience oneness. As if there was no time.
The third one was love. When some one speaks with love or looks at love, the mind stops we become soft in the moment. This is like the lover experiencing intense Oneness. This is well told in many words in the cinema songs and poetry.
The fourth kind of oneness as we see the divine purpose in action. We would have met some one and suddenly he turns out to be a big help or when unexpectedly some one help us. When we see the connection between people and events which people called synchronicity or coincidences we feel oneness.
When we bring in quality of service our ego dissolves and we feel lighter.
When we appreciate beauty of nature we become one with the beauty.
These are different oneness we experience. Ultimately we want to dissolve our body identification which is the ultimate oneness were the mind cease to exist.
In Maya the sensual pleasures, body consciousness and lack of remembrance of death are main distractions.
Sadhana is of three levels. They are namely Small, medium and big sadhana. Many people know to do the big sadhana. It is sitting for years together in meditation. But what is difficult is doing sadhana when you are in activity. This is what all the great teachers in tantra talk about. Mastery of daily activity into sadhana is all about.
Small sadhana can be done easily. Here are some of the ways to do it.
* Before u pick up the ringing telephone chant three times om namo naryanaya or three deep breath or gentle sending of the blessing and answer it.
* Before eating chant ten times name of god or ten deep breaths or bless the food and eat.
These kinds of small sadhana are very useful in breaking the pattern of mind.
Also one can take small niyama before bath or before speaking etc. for example just for today you will not speak negative of some one. Just for today you will eat with out seeing TV. Like that you can extend the whole sadhana for a day.
When you travel in bike or bus you can chant the name of god or sending blessing for every one. It has magical effect. The mind gets focused.
Mind gets normally locked in particular habit or person or activity. This kind of sadhana not only increases awareness but also make you very happy, centered and peaceful.
You can choose a meditation or chant along with choose a quality. Bringing happiness or being kind. These kinds of dual way of meditation with niyama will take any meditators to great heights.
My brother and mother were going in train. We were not talking to each other. Instead every one was morose. I started blessing my mother to be happy and peaceful and my brother also. Within few minutes every one started laughing and talking. Such is the power of small niyama.
I dedicate this merit to my lineage and family so that they evolve in higher state of consciousness.
May any one read these lines multiply their awareness immediately and apply it .
When we see people normally the vision gets locked into gender, past memory and the role we play. If you can look at them as energy, as soul or their soul star then one will feel a different dimension opening up.
When we see objects or the person normally their physical and mental quality becomes obvious. For example if you see a computer you will see the form shape and
color etc. you do not see the emotional and energy side of it. Same is with people where you see the physical, mental and some times emotional side but never their energy side or soul side. When you start to visualize them as soul whole different world opens up.
Look at wife as soul; imagine a blue light in heart centre and slowly you will see a different quality of relationship opening up.
See the children as soul. See father mother as souls, see your friends as souls. Whomever you meet or interact as soul then you will see and relate with people in different ways. The normal ways of looking and interacting with people will disappear.
My teacher has a method. He will ask them their name and look them as the deity. For example if some one’s name is Shiva, then he will look at them as shiva and listen to them as if lord shiva himself has come. If some one comes from vishnu kshetra he will look at them a vishnu himself. In the same way with women whom he will look at them as devi or goddess herself.
This also tends to break habitually and pattern. God is already there we will need to break habitual way of looking at them again and again.
Balance in life is the secret of living happily. Eat too much you will have difficulty and if eat less also you have problems. Talking too much will have problems and if you do not talk also you will have problems. Every situation if aligned with the personal nature then it will bring happiness. If every situation is aligned against the personal nature, then one will have pain.
For example if a talkative man gets watch man job where he is not supposed to talk, then he will go mad. Some one who talks less is put as public speaker he will find it difficult to express himself. So all personality problems arises due to imbalance.
When ever u have problem with some one just see what you have to balance or what you have to give up or get on. For example many find it difficult to let go and instead they cling. Some people find it easy to let go and being with some one is difficult.
If some one has divorce, then one has to find what habits, attitudes and speech they have to change. Then it will be easy for them not to have problems.
All criticism is about being in excess. That is why there is saying “even amrita become poison if it is in excess.
Too much work makes a jack dull boy.
Too much of playing makes jack boring.
Boredom happens when activity has gone beyond the level. This is secret of enjoying life and keeping it in balance.
My siddha teacher knew how to prepare gold. Expect for the last step he knew almost every process in the method. I was not so keen to learn it or master it. Someone after his death asked whether I had learned the alchemy from him. I frankly said no. He was quiet shocked. He was a greedy man who was extremely business like.
I realized that there are different kind of alchemy one learns life and master in their life. Alchemy means change.
Changing moods.
Changing people.
Changing situations
Changing events.
We will try to see them elaborately.
Changing mood – try it when u have bad mood. It takes days to come out of it. My student calls it sweetly “stambana” means paralysis. See how a person finds it difficult to change mood. For this yoga techniques produce fast results than any other technique.
Changing people- try to make the child to give up eating chocolates or giving up on TV, you will see how it is so difficult. With the words of great teacher people change so fast. For example a thief and prostitute changed by chaitnaya maha prabhu’s grace. Such is the power of the great teacher.
Changing the situation – see how a positive situation becomes negative and the negative becomes positive with just words, smile etc.
Changing events -for example some one heading for divorce and you change their ways, some one is poor you make them happy and meaningful by giving money, some one does not have roof over the head you build some thing, such is power .
Changing objects which is what alchemy based on dravya guna vigyan.
Changing property of the object – for example giving holy ash as medicine. Normally it is used as a Prasad. We hear many story of baba who used holy ash to cure diseases. Such is the power of saint.
Changing the physical plane like the great Babaji who changed the Himalayas into palaces .
This is a reality and in fact I use to think that sitting in the forest and thinking of god as sadhana. Slowly I began to realize that every one does sadhana.
Some does sadhana on money, women on relationship, and a politician on power. Every thing in the world is god. Each work, place, object just tell one aspect of god. God the healer and healing ability is working with doctor side of god, using power as politicians is learning how to use power of god, math’s is expressing god plans in terms of numerals. Every science or art is way to explore god. We need a way or a method or principle to explore god. These science like physics, math’s or even poetry and dance explore the different sides of god.
Doing sadhana with money is ok- it brings focus and one can experiences raw power of money which brings happiness temporarily. It can give sensual happiness, a sense of achievement. We gain respect, fame and power compare to poor people. But then look at the flip side it gives false sense of security, it makes us to run around maya endlessly, it cannot over come death. Like this every thing in this world has limitation.
Take any relationship which gives you happiness, sense of security, warmth, love meaning and purpose. Put in to it death departure, doubts, distance, differences in personality values and goals. You will see misery coming from it.
Even scientist finds that they can not understand the world fully. Every one has limitation.
Expect prayer all the other in life will have limitation. One comes to the point where a small step in the sadhana towards god will be a giant leap in soul consciousness.
